As a class we decided on several goals that should be able to be achieved when the project is completed
  1. Prevent rolling backwards on hills if hands are removed from wheels
  2. Anti-rollback device easily engaged/disengaged for maneuvering
  3. Tip prevention system for use on same hills (wheelie bars?) that is also easily engaged or raised by user
  4. Designs function on 10 degree slope with maximum wheelchair rated weight
  5. Ergonomically correct (no thumb squishing)
  6. Easily installed on standard wheelchairs with no structural modifications
  7. Will not obstruct wheelchair folding for transport
  8. Easily maintained
  9. Lightweight (10 pound total added weight limit?)
  10. Maine mud/winter proof
  11. Corrosion resistant
  12. Long term durability
  13. Survive climate extremes
